Prepare your TV and player

A screen needs a TV and a player device with a browser that can run the ConcessionKit player. Use the player address provided for your installation. Sign in to the management portal on your phone or computer, rather than on the public TV.

Connect the player to the internet and open the player in full-screen or kiosk mode where supported. Test your particular device before relying on it during an event; browser storage and power settings affect playback.

Pair a screen

1. Open the player on the TV and find the six-character pairing code.
2. In the portal, select the location and open Screens.
3. Choose Pair a TV, enter the current code, and name the screen clearly, such as Main stand left.
4. Complete pairing. If the code expires, use the new code shown on the player.

Assign a design and publish

The selected design and the last published design may differ until you publish. Live menu price and availability changes use a separate update path.

1. Choose a saved design for the screen.
2. Select Publish to prepare a new version for that screen.
3. Check the screen’s status and then the physical TV. Repeat for other screens that need the update.

What offline playback means

After loading successfully online, the player stores board data and caches supported assets on the device. It can continue showing saved content during a connection loss. A screen shown as offline may still be playing its cached board.

Offline players cannot receive new publishes, live changes, or remote messages until they reconnect. Assets that were never loaded may be missing. Clearing browser data, storage eviction, or device failure can remove the saved board.

Retire or reuse a device

Remove a retired screen from the portal as appropriate, and clear the player site’s browser storage and caches on the physical device before handing it to someone else. Remote account or screen changes cannot reliably erase an offline copy. Clearing player data means it will need setup and pairing again.
