Accessibility

Our approach to usable pages and readable public boards as the platform develops.

An evolving accessibility statement

ConcessionKit is being built for people managing busy venues on different devices. Accessibility is part of that work. This initial statement does not claim a completed accessibility audit or conformance certification.

The designer and other workflows are still changing. Accessibility limitations may remain, particularly in visual editing tasks, and this page will be updated as they are assessed and addressed.

Using this website and the documentation

The main website and documentation include semantic headings, keyboard-focus styles, a skip-to-content link, responsive layouts, and reduced-motion styling. Guides are available as text rather than only as screenshots or video.

You can use browser zoom and keyboard navigation. The documentation’s article links and section links provide alternatives to the guide filter.

Make your boards easier to read

  • Use large type, strong contrast, and short labels appropriate to the viewing distance.
  • Keep menu items and prices aligned and avoid overcrowding.
  • Do not use color alone to communicate availability or other essential information.
  • Preview motion and page rotation, and give guests enough time to read.
  • Provide another way to get menu and service information for people who cannot see or use the display.

Report an accessibility barrier

The public contact channel is still being finalized. Once available, it will be listed on the contact page. A useful report includes the page or workflow, what you were trying to do, the barrier, and your browser or assistive technology if you wish to share it.

Do not include sensitive medical information. We have not established a response-time commitment for this initial statement.
